Jo
I’ve sent you an email with a bunch of detailed additions and corrections.
Some other corrections:
The Pub Panto in ’96 was called ‘Godfather Xmas’ – I don’t know what this ‘Crude Christmas Nativity’ thang is.
The Pub Panto in ’97 or ‘8 was ‘Messiah!’.
‘The Jury’ was March 2000.
‘The Cherry Orchard’ was early 2001.
Cheers
Russell
Thanks, Russell
The responses emailed to my hotmail address have been overwhelming, so it will take some time to tease it all out. Keep coming back to see!
Nailed the Pub Pantos for 96 -8:
96 – Godfather Xmas
97 – Messiah!
98 – Yule Tide Story
Will pass on printed matter on Monday
:o]
Many thanks. Changes made.
Here are some I still can’t date:
Iris by Ian Brownlie at The Walter Roy Theatre, Hewett School.
The Barney Mutton Story and Yet Another Christmas Carol, double bill – Xmas Pub Panto
The Tempest by William Shakespeare at St Peters Church Hall
On The Ball, Cinders
Malcolm the Eighth
In 2001, Shrew and Cunobellin are the wrong way round (Shrew in summer, Woad in winter; that’s how I remember it anyway. All looking cool though 🙂
Thanks Steve I’ve seen to this, and now I have the CD-ROM with the content from the old website, I should be able to finish the job!
happy to fill in details on my own contributions.
Barney Mutton/Yet Another Xmas Carol-was Dec 1994. My first contributions to C.A.
On the Ball, Cinders was the Xmas Pub Panto in 1995.
Malcolm the Eighth was put on twice. The first was as part of the Crude Apache Event in 1996. the second incarnation was in 1997, but with Platform One Theatre Company. The Yule Tide Log wasn’t a pub panto, but another C.A. event style smorgasbord, only at Christmas. Obviously. As far as memory serves, Iris was late ’96.

I’ll fix those shortly Karl, many thanks 🙂
A small but vital correction. the Barney Mutton Story was written by Simon Floyd, myself, and Dave Popkin, I believe.

It shall be done Karl, thanks.
mince pie murder was the highlight of our christmas entertainment last year and had been hoping there might be another local production in norwich around this christmas season but i cannot locate anything – is it all quiet?
Tom Carver says that the 1993 one-off production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Bruce Lacey’s garden was performed not by Crude Apache but its forerunner, The Willy Shakers.
Crude Apache, a corruption of Shakespeare’s “A crew of patches, rude mechanicals” (Bottom and his mates) was born from the desire of some of those involved to create more theatre.
I played Theseus, as it happens.
